Fall 2011

Things have been so busy on many fronts since I completed the run across Death Valley! Of course Expedition India is coming up with 4 amazing Youth Ambassadors, but thats not it! I have been on the go non-stop speaking at events including - Queen's University, Partners For Youth, University of British Columbia and the Amsterdam Academic Conference. This fall I also had the honour of running in the Rick Hansen Relay; I was so proud to be involved in an event founded by a Canadian hero! I will have the honour of speaking to the 2012 Canadian Olympic Team in November before heading off to India.

impossible2Possible has many new projects planned for 2012, stay tuned for more info.

Expedition Bolivia A Success & Upcoming Events

In May 2011 impossible2Possible visited the mountain nation of Bolivia, to run across the world's largest salt flats and celebrate the International Year of Chemistry. Bolivia is a landlocked country that boasts a rich diversity of cultures, languages, flora and fauna. While to the North-East, Bolivia features a lush tropical basin that feeds the headwaters of the Amazon River, South-Western Bolivia is very dry and situated on a high plateau that straddles the Andes mountains. Nestled high on this plateau among volcanoes and lakes is the Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flats in the world. The Salar de Uyuni is home to ten billion tons of salt, and more than half of the world's lithium reserves. Five Youth Ambassadors were selected to join Ray Zahab, and fellow i2P adventurers in a running expedition across the salt flats. Youth Ambassadors ran 201 km, and communicated live with students all over the world. Dr. George Agnes and Dr. Greg Wells conducted live experiments that rounded out i2P's finest Experiential Learning Program to date! Want to see more? bolivia2011.com

Since the expedition, I have been travelling pretty much non-stop telling people about impossible2Possible. I recently visited a First Nations community in Northern Saskatchewan to speak with youth about their ability to do the extraordinary. This summer I will be visiting Vancouver, Kingston, Chicago and many other destinations; I will be sure to keep you updated!
